As drained as you can imagine,
As lifeless as a fallen leaf;
Here I see it leaving before it’s time,
This tiny hope with its life so brief!

This life runs so fast,
But can you sense the slowness of it?
The more I try to read the smiles,
I see something broken inside of them to the bits.

There is this never-ending conflict between,
what I look at and what I see;
with every sunset, I have sensed the emptiness
of this treasure-filled, unfathomable sea!

You see that’s how it is,
There is an eerie silence behind the loudest voice;
Lost are the smiles after reaching to heights,
which were never even a choice!

So,
When you look at someone or something that is all
sparkly and beautiful;
Do not just look, try to “see” if that beauty is real
or is it delusionally pitiful!
