Sometimes I wonder, how lucky we are to have this amazing ability to express our emotions through words.
I often think, how these languages were made and I still keep a keen eye on the way languages are still evolving in many ways.
I feel that we can give nothing to another human more than our words in their good times or bad.
We are what we think, we are what we speak.
But have you ever wondered of all the things you say, how many of them you really mean?

I have seen people not believing in love or friendships because of the broken promises by the people who once made them believe in it.

We often see people swearing on their loved one’s jokingly or promising things they never really mean. Not that people plan it but that’s what the problem is, most of us say things without thinking much.

My question is, is it not important to utter the words that behold honesty or is it just my overactive mind that is overreacting after two double espressos?

In recent times, I came across people who had claimed that they can climb mountains for me but couldn’t bear to take a small step in odd times.

Aren’t words loosing their meaning?

Are phrases like “I Promise”, “I love you too” or “I miss you too” becoming just words without reciprocation of true feelings?

Isn’t it our responsibility to be responsible for the words we speak?
We need to realize, that the promises we make, feelings we express be it anger or love, leave a certain impact on other people.
The least we can do to make this world better for ourselves and for others is by putting in a conscious effort while saying things.

Let’s say things what we mean, no matter how hurt a person would be by your honest words, at least you will not end up raising expectations in their heart for no good reason, At least words will never lose their meaning.
After all, as I said earlier, we can’t give anybody anything, except words.
So choose to be honest with your words, choose to build a world based on the foundation of honesty!

It’s better to hurt them with your honesty,
than to raise their expectations in vain;
Because when words lose their meaning,
It gives nothing but pain!
