Years have gone by,
And so many quiet autumn evenings;
Carrying that melancholy with me,
Sharing the same musings.
So far is my home,
And that corner that I called my own;
Where tears were shared comfortably,
And fear of the dark was unknown.
A cold shiver runs through my blood,
As the evening comes in all its glory;
Filled with silence it brings me peace,
Silencing within me an untold story.
The sky once again seems ready,
To share with me the burden of all that I carry inside;
The sun will set a little early now,
Giving way to the evening that can handle these tides.
Quietly I sit and feel,
These cold winds come from far;
Covering my soul with the traces of lost dreams,
All that were wished upon the shooting stars.
