Suddenly it stopped, All of it,
Now everything could be heard,
The pain of these heavy breaths,
The sound of these tears that never left the eyes,
The words that were left unsaid,
All of these making loud noises inside.

It lays there still, as lifeless as a dead leaf,
Waiting to be carried away by the wind to a faraway land,
Or to be flown away with water,
wanting to hide all of its grief.

Those eyes that were once so shiny,
Now are too dull and tired;
Lacking the strength to turn around,
To find why they suddenly lost,
All the things that they desired?

As they lift up these remnants,
These hands that are weakened by holding too tight for too long,
They tremble,
Torn between the choices of letting go off
Or swallowing this slow poison!

I kept running tirelessly in the same direction,
Until I stumbled and reality unveiled itself

And Suddenly it stopped, All of it,
The happiness, the ray of hope & this race of chasing dreams,
Now everything could be heard,
The pain of these heavy breaths,
The sound of these tears that never left the eyes.
The words that were left unsaid,
All of these making loud noises inside.

I wondered if anyone ever,
Understands this unquenchable thirst and could slake it?
‘cuz if happiness is a choice,
Then I’m afraid,
I never made it!
