I’m losing count of the sunsets,
That I have spent remembering you,
This sky, these birds and all the seasons have witnessed it too!
Like an eternal river,
Your thoughts flow in my heart and soul;
Sometimes they come out through tears
And sometimes they hide somewhere,
like they don’t exist at all.
Every day I try to find a ray of hope,
Through these cracks and holes;
To fill in these deep and dark voids,
With some light in my soul.
There are days when my heart recalls the way these strings were broken,
And it aches with the thought of you being too far;
On the days like these, I listen to your favorite songs,
And I often smile as if I’m wishing upon a shooting star.
And when nothing works,
I try to put you in these lines;
I fall short of words sometimes,
As if every hidden word is giving tacit approval for these incomplete lines
That didn’t rhyme!
The pain is slowly fading away,
Sad, that I had to learn it this way;
That after all these deep wounds,
If there is still some life left,
You have to carry on anyway!
Deep and touched ! You each and every word gets instantly and deeply connected to the soul if one reads is peacefully and whole heartedly! Loved it! One will always find himself in ur poems someway or the other! I donno about other but i do!
I loved this specially
“And when nothing works,
I try to put you in these lines;
I fall short of words sometimes,
As if every hidden word is giving tacit approval for these incomplete lines
That didn’t rhyme!”
